Summary: Installation requirements for power distribution cabinets: (1) The installation altitude shall not exceed 1,000 meters above sea level; (2) The ambient medium temperature shall not exceed 40℃ nor fall below -20℃; (3) The relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 85%.

Installation requirements for power distribution cabinets:

(1) Installation altitude not exceeding 1,000 meters above sea level;

(2) The ambient medium temperature shall not exceed 40℃ nor fall below -20℃;

(3) The relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 85%.

(4) Locations free of conductive dust and gases capable of corroding metals and damaging insulation;

(5) Areas with no risk of explosion;

(6) Locations free from severe vibrations, jolts, and with a vertical tilt not exceeding 5°.

(7) After undergoing treatment meeting the requirements for humid tropical environments, the power box can be used in areas where the relative humidity of the air does not exceed 95% and where condensation and mold may be present.

Installation method for the power distribution cabinet: Typically, a base is constructed using 10# channel steel. This base is welded onto a steel plate (e.g., 100×100×6) that has been pre-embedded in the foundation. The power distribution cabinet is then secured to the base either by bolts or by welding. Alternatively, it can be directly installed onto bolts pre-embedded in the foundation. There are standard installation drawings and specifications governing the installation requirements for power distribution cabinets.

Maintenance Procedures for Low-Voltage Power Distribution Cabinets: Power Distribution Cabinets

Implement segmented maintenance: First, maintain the emergency load section. Disconnect the power supply to the emergency load. If the load continues to be supplied by the utility power, switch off the air circuit breaker that supplies the emergency load from the utility grid. Set the generator selector switch to the “Stop” position, disconnect the positive and negative terminals of the battery, and clearly label them to prevent the generator from generating electricity. Inspect the busbar connections for any deformation or blackened marks indicating discharge. Tighten all connection bolts; replace any bolts found to be rusted or damaged to ensure tight connections. Check the insulation on the busbars for looseness or damage. Remove the main isolating switch from the distribution cabinet, and inspect the main contacts for signs of arcing or melting. Examine the arc-extinguishing shield for blackening or damage, and tighten all wiring screws. Clean out any dust inside the cabinet. Finally, perform a mechanical closing test.

Remove each separate cabinet from the drawer unit, tighten all connection terminals, and inspect the installation and wiring of current transformers, ammeters, and watt-hour meters. Also, check the flexibility and reliability of the handle-operated mechanism. Securely fasten the incoming and outgoing cables of the air circuit breaker, and clean the dust from the switchgear interior as well as from the cable outlets at the back of the distribution cabinet. When maintaining the capacitor cabinet, first disconnect the main switch of the capacitors, then use a wire with a diameter of 10 mm or greater to discharge each capacitor individually to ground. Next, inspect the contactors, capacitor connection screws, and grounding devices to ensure they are in good condition. Check whether the capacitors show any signs of bulging, and use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust inside the cabinet.
